Yolanda Okereke writes heartfelt note to late husband, Actor Karibi Fubara on his posthumous birthday

Celebrity stylist, Yolanda Okereke has taken to her Instagram page to write heartfelt tribute to her late husband, Actor Karibi Fubara in celebration of his posthumous birthday.

For Okereke, she’s happy she spent the best of her life with the late actor who passed on December 2021.

In 2020, the “God calling” actor had revealed how he found out he had a large mid-stage kidney tumor/cancer.

He also regularly shared his journey to recovery on Instagram. He announced that he had undergone a successful surgery which removed about 90 per cent of the tumour.

Celebrating his posthumous birthday today, his young widow wrote, “H. A. P. P. Y. B. I. R. T. H D. A. Y. C. H. I. E. F. Its your birthday today. I know birthdays aren’t really your thing but this one is special. Because I know you are dancing to Bobby Brown’s Every Little Step in Heaven… Or Silk Sonic’s Leave The Door Open and the Angels are cheering you on. I am happy you are a good place and filled with so much joy.Everyday is a good day. Some better than others. I’ve had the chance to do something better as you would want me to. It’s not the same with you not around, but I know you are still with me and still with us. I am not sad. I am happy Because the world got to experience you and kept a piece of you in their heart. I do not go by what I feel. I go by what I believe. Knowing you were here. You lived A Good Life. You Lived A Full Life. I have found my gift in this pain. I cannot wait to share it with the world. Fubara rose to prominence after starring in Bodunrin ‘BB’ Sasore’s 2015 romantic drama series, ‘Before 30.’

He played Akin, a 35-year-old single sociologist and kindhearted humanitarian, who has a bad track record relationship-wise. The role earned him a loyal fanbase.

He went on to star in several movies including ‘Quam’s Money’, ‘Castle and Castle’, ‘Royal Hibiscus Hotel’ and ‘Castle and Castle’ series which is currently showing on Netflix.
